sHere are some answers to our frequently asked questions.
Where are you located?
Our dogs come from Northern Saskatchewan but our rescue is based in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. We are foster based so do not have a physical location. Our dogs are placed into foster homes usually within the Guysborough/Antigonish areas.
Can I meet a particular dog?
Because we are foster based, we require an approved application prior to a meet.
Can I be pre approved to adopt a rescue?
We understand that there are many rescues that will pre approve applications. We do not. Our reasoning is that we want you to apply for a dog that is suited to your household based on their biography posted when they go up for adoption. We post a picture and their biography when they have arrived in Nova Scotia and are ready to find their forever home.
What is your adoption fee?
Our adoption fee is $400. This includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccines and deworming. Adoption fees must be paid on the day of adoption.
Do you need more foster homes?
YES! Always! Especially in Saskatchewan. Please send us a message and fill out our foster application. We will be in touch. In Nova Scotia, we are currently only accepting foster homes that can use our vet in Antigonish.
How can I help?
Foster, donate, transport, share our posts, hold a fundraiser. We appreciate any and all help!
